Monica Roman is currently a Program Manager at the African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative. Her responsibilities include measuring and evaluating impact, supporting organizational development, and overseeing the AWEC Business Academy. She has spent her career thus far working at mission-driven civics and education organizations, including the Center for Ethnic, Racial and Religious Understanding (CERRU), Generation Citizen, and the NYC Urban Debate League. Her skillset spans communications, development, and operations and she has unique experience working with diverse and cross-functional teams.
Monica is a graduate of the Macaulay Honors College at Queens College and received her MBA from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College. Born and raised on Long Island, Monica is a self-proclaimed beach bum, but in the colder months, she enjoys running, traveling, and crying over the New York Knicks.
