Looking for the Next 200

November 18, 2019

On Wednesday, 4 December 2019, AWEC will open a two-week application window for its transformative 12-month leadership and business management capacity building program

This program is designed for African women entrepreneurs seeking to expand their knowledge, increase their skills, broaden their network, and make a lifelong connections.

Due to generous donor support, AWEC participants gain access to a year-long learning and networking experience at little to no cost to them. In place of a program fee, participants are expected to devote significant time and commitment to be active members of the Cooperative.

Transformational Experience

The AWEC program is fast-paced, rigorous and requires 4-6 hours of work per week, for one year. We strongly encourage applicants to evaluate their anticipated priorities – both professional and personal – from April 2020 to March 2021 to ensure that they will have the time and focus needed to fully participate in the program.

For those who put in the time, the result is nothing short of transformational. But don’t take our word for it. Hear straight from the women who have benefitted from our approach to empowering hundreds of women entrepreneurs from across the continent.
