NEW YORK, September 30–The Center for Global Enterprise (CGE), in collaboration with the Digital Supply Chain Institute (DSCI), will host the next CEO Exchange in Zurich. The two-day event will build on themes first explored during the spring CEO Exchange in New York, where global business leaders addressed the challenges of geopolitical instability, economic disruption, and supply chain transformation.
The invitation-only event, conducted under the Chatham House Rule, will bring executives from across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa together. Attendees will gain actionable insights on how to foster growth, build resilience, and drive innovation within their organizations, drawing on diverse regional expertise.
“What we heard at the first CEO Exchange in New York was a deep need among CEOs to not just react to disruption, but to harness it as a catalyst for growth,” noted Chris Caine, President of CGE. “In Zurich, we will continue that conversation—focusing on how technology, collaboration, and new business models can help leaders navigate a turbulent global economy.”
At the New York Exchange, John Hamre, President of the Center for Strategic & International Studies, set the stage with a frank discussion on geopolitical instability, while leaders like Carol Tomé, CEO of UPS, and Colin Browne, former CEO and COO of Under Armour, shared strategies for growth and risk management. A key theme was the need to adopt innovative supply chain models such as Constellations of Value (CoV), and to deploy emerging technologies like AI to manage logistical disruptions, tariffs, ESG compliance, and sanctions.
The Zurich CEO Exchange will build on these themes with high-level sessions offering global perspectives on risk, resilience, and innovation. Attendees will leave with concrete strategies to inform decision-making amid geopolitical and geoeconomic uncertainty—a critical advantage for leaders today. Ambassador Thomas Greminger, Executive Director of the Geneva Centre for Security Policy, will open the event by addressing these challenges. Additional sessions include:
- The Global Economy: Opportunities and Risks for EMEA with Nobel Laureate economist Michael Spence.
- Capturing Growth through Business Model Transformation with Leonhard Birnbaum, CEO of E.ON.
- Deploying AI and New Technologies for Operational Excellence with senior leaders from AMD and Amazon Business.
- Securing the Supply Chain, featuring the Cyber Readiness Institute (CRI) and Replica Cyber.
- Winning Through Innovation, Collaboration & Creativity with On AG executives Samuel Wenger and Craig Jones.
“This event is not just about ideas—it’s about execution, said Marko Kovacevic, Managing Director of DSCI. “Our workshops will give CEOs and their teams actionable tools to transform their supply chains, whether through agile demand planning or implementing the Constellations of Value framework.”
Zurich will also feature hands-on workshops conducted by DSCI. These interactive sessions will dive into practical strategies for executing Constellations of Value and developing agile demand planning in an era defined by AI and disruption.
The New York CEO Exchange revealed that leaders are ready to confront uncertainty with innovation and collaboration. The Zurich Exchange on October 21–22 will take this momentum further—equipping executives with the management insights and networks needed to thrive in today’s shifting global landscape.
