African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative

What is AWEC?

The African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative (AWEC) is a one-of-a-kind, high-touch leadership and business management capacity building program. AWEC focuses on applied learning and collaborative experiences to ensure immediate business impact and the creation of a pan-African network of entrepreneurs, experts and allies.

Supporting African Women Entrepreneurs

AWEC was created at the Center for Global Enterprise and is supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies, The Inglesea Charitable Trust, Silicon Valley Community Foundation, The Economic Club of Washington, Toyota, and others. AWEC is a donor-funded program that relies on the support of foundations, corporations and individuals who share our commitment to vision for changing Africa through women-led entrepreneurship.

By donating to AWEC, you are empowering women from across the continent with the knowledge and network needed to build resilient and scalable enterprises. All donations are used to provide programmatic support to our community of women entrepreneurs.
