Alpha Team Helps Texas Capital Bank Devise Strategies to Attract Millennials

The Center for Global Enterprise (CGE) Global Scholars program recently concluded its sixth Alpha Team engagement to help Texas Capital Bank (TCB) evaluate new services and strategies to attract Millennial clients for its private wealth management services.

On Friday, August 17, three members of CGE’s Alpha Team presented the final recommendations on behalf of the 21-member team to the senior leadership of TCB’s Private Wealth Advisor group at company headquarters in Dallas.

Over the course of the six-week digital internship, Alpha Team members were divided into three sub-teams, each group working with an experienced mentor to research technologies, services and strategies for TCB to employ to attract new Millennial clients.

The Alpha Team, which collectively represented 7 countries across 4 continents and 17 languages, identified essential wealth transfer trends and established key target segments within the Millennial cohort by demographics and geography.

The Alpha Team program is a unique learning concept—a 6-week digital internship where a global team comprised of students, university faculty, and business professionals collaborate to solve a real-world problem for a company sponsor. Using the online learning platform NovoEd, Alpha Team members work on strategy, market analysis, technology trends, societal impact, and branding, as well as develop key “soft” skills such leadership, communications, problem solving and the ability to work on virtual teams across different time zones and cultures.

Past Alpha Teams sponsors include the NFL and The London Taxi Company. You can learn more about Alpha Teams and other programs available through the Global Scholars program here.

CGE’s Global Scholars program is a free, global, and open learning community that currently encompasses 239 universities from 102 countries.
