Samsung SDS Joins the Digital Supply Chain Institute as Newest Member

May 6, 2025

NEW YORK, May 5 – The Digital Supply Chain Institute (DSCI) is excited to welcome Samsung SDS as its newest member, joining a global network of companies dedicated to advancing the future of supply chains through innovation, collaboration, and applied research.

As a member, Samsung SDS will participate in a broad range of DSCI programs and initiatives, including applied research, white papers, and webinars that deliver valuable insights and practical solutions for digital supply chain transformation. The company will also engage in exclusive member-led workshops and executive education programs.

“We are thrilled to welcome Samsung SDS into our growing network of digital supply chain leaders,” said Marko Kovacevic, Managing Director of DSCI. “Their commitment to technology-driven solutions aligns with our mission to shape the future of supply chains through innovation, collaboration, and strategic insight.”

As part of this partnership, DSCI will support Samsung SDS in expanding its U.S. presence, focusing on Caidentia—its AI-powered SaaS solution that orchestrates direct procurement from design to source to pay. Already deployed with global manufacturers, Caidentia helps North American companies rethink sourcing from the start of product design. It unifies engineering, procurement, and suppliers in a single platform—breaking down silos and driving smarter decisions with real-time visibility, AI-driven cost modeling, and early supplier collaboration. Samsung SDS aims to expand Caidentia’s reach across industries where complex design, early cost control, and supplier integration are critical—from high-tech and automotive to consumer electronics, medical manufacturing, food and beverage, cosmetics, and apparel.

“Joining DSCI strengthens our mission to lead the next wave of supply chain transformation through innovation and collaboration,” said Ian Silver, Global Head of Alliances & Partner Delivery at Samsung SDS. “As we scale Caidentia in the U.S. and beyond, we’re proud to contribute to a powerful community of experts and innovators shaping the future of the digital supply chain. We’re especially excited to partner with industry leaders ready to reimagine sourcing—starting from the design phase—and empower them with the tools, insights, and AI-driven solutions to reduce costs, accelerate time-to-market, and build more resilient, agile supply chains.”

The partnership will also explore initiatives such as supply chain talent upskilling programs for Samsung SDS and its clients and the co-creation of thought leadership content. Joint participation in events and speaking engagements—globally and in Korea for Samsung SDS customers—will be a key element of this collaboration.

Together, DSCI and Samsung SDS are poised to develop forward-looking solutions that address today’s most critical supply chain challenges.
